Join us for a magical evening of holiday cheer and community celebration! "Holidays On Grand River 2024" is bringing the spirit of the season to Grand River Avenue with festivities for all ages, local shopping, delicious treats, and the grand lighting of our community Christmas tree.
Highlights Include:
✨ Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Gather at the Grand Parklet for a heartwarming Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:00 PM – the perfect way to kick off the holiday season together!
🛍️ Holiday Pop-Up Shops & Food Truck Rally Support 12 local businesses at our Pop-Up Shops and enjoy an amazing lineup of food trucks serving seasonal favorites, from classic cinnamon treats to Detroit’s best seafood and lemonade!
📚 Christmas Book Reading & Poetry InsideOut Literary Arts will be hosting a special holiday-themed reading and poetry session at Pages Bookshop from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
🎭 Nutcracker Performance & Puppet Workshop The Puppet Company presents a Nutcracker performance followed by a puppet-making workshop for the young (and young at heart) from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
🎅 Santa’s Workshop Warm up with hot chocolate, get creative with Arts & Scraps’ Holiday Craft Box, and grab a photo with Santa himself from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
🍹 Holiday Drink Tasting Stop by Miss Eva's Detroit for a festive drink tasting available all day.
