SBAM Releases Guidance and Resources for New Executive Order

On July 10, 2020, Governor Whitmer issued an executive order expanding the scope of and increasing enforcement around the requirement of 1.) individuals to wear masks or face coverings when in indoor public places and outdoors when distancing is not possible and 2.) businesses to enforce face mask usage on the general public.

The Small Business Association of Michigan has put together a model/best practice policy that fits our most current understanding of the intent and spirit of the executive order and includes some elements that are not explicitly required or stipulated in the Executive Order.
